Werner Rentsch - Artist

BIOGRAPHY

Werner Rentsch paintings and prints are widely sought after by collectors around the world. He has been honored with nine one-man shows and his work was shown in twelve museum exhibitions and in more than forty juried or group shows in America.

Well known for his paintings of equine subjects, Werner has painted many portraits of great- and near-great horses from racing, show jumping, foxhunting, and polo. He is a lifetime member of the American Academy of Equine Art and served as President from 1994 through 2008.

For the past several years Werner has spent time in Africa and his most recent body of work are paintings of African wildlife. He is a Signature member of Artists for Conservation and his work was selected for the organization’s 2012 and 2013 exhibitions. His wildlife paintings are currently on exhibit at the Cultural Heritage Gallery in Arusha, Tanzania.
